What This Helps With

If you chase perfect driving, you often become stiff, slow, and distracted. The test needs safe driving, not flawless driving.

The Simple Version

You can make small mistakes and still pass. What matters is whether you stay safe, correct things calmly, and keep making good decisions.

How To Think About Mistakes

A small mistake becomes a bigger problem when you stare at it, rush the next decision, or stop checking properly. Notice it, fix what you can, then put your eyes and attention back on the road ahead.

Common Mistakes

  • Freezing after a tiny steering or gear mistake.
  • Driving too slowly everywhere.
  • Changing your normal routine because the examiner is there.

What Examiners Care About

They are looking for a safe learner becoming an independent driver, not a professional driver.

Practise On Your Next Lesson

Do a short drive where the goal is calm recovery, not perfect performance. Ask your instructor to tell you afterwards which mistakes were minor and which ones actually affected safety.

Ask Your Instructor

"What small mistakes would you expect even from a ready learner?"

Quick Self-Check

  • Can I accept a small mistake?
  • Can I correct it calmly?
  • Can I keep driving normally afterwards?
