What This Helps With
Going ahead is often the second exit, but signs and road markings can change the lane you need.
The Simple Version
Use the left lane unless signs or markings say otherwise. Usually do not signal on approach for ahead, then signal left after the exit before yours.
Common Mistakes
- Assuming every ahead exit uses the left lane.
- Forgetting to signal off.
- Drifting across lanes while exiting.
- Missing road arrows on approach.
