Emerge from side roads by slowing enough, looking properly, and choosing a safe gap.

What This Helps With
Emerging means joining a new road from a side road. The danger is going before you have enough view or enough time.
The Simple Version
Approach slowly, stop or creep if your view is blocked, look both ways more than once, and only go when the gap is safe.
Common Mistakes
- Rolling out too quickly at closed junctions.
- Only looking one way properly.
- Stopping too far back with no view.
- Going because the car behind is waiting.
What Examiners Care About
They want patience and good observation. If your view is poor, creeping slowly can be safer than guessing.
