Left turns are one of the first junction skills. They teach timing, speed, position, looking, and steering through the corner.
The Simple Version
Mirrors, signal if useful, position slightly left if needed, slow down, choose the right gear, look properly, then turn when it is safe.
Common Mistakes
- Approaching too fast.
- Cutting the corner.
- Staring right and forgetting the left side.
- Stopping too far back or rolling over the line.
